Abstract: Math and Music are connected throughout history. From Pitagoras and tuning systems to Xenakis and stochastic music. Many of these connections can serve to teach math to musicians and the other way around. For the past 6 years, I have been teaching math and programming to musicians at Universidad Nacional de Quilmes in Argentina where I developed an interactive course where common math concepts are conceptualized by listening to musical examples. In this talk, I will show some of the course topics with live musical examples .
